Nick Boyd – former field agent and founder of Beebox Training, with expertise in debt collection compliance, repossession, and credit operations

“Training should be clear, relevant, and built for the field.” – Nick Boyd.

Nick’s training journey began in 1988 when he served in the elite 1st Battalion Welsh Guards. After completing international and domestic postings, he moved to Australia and worked as a crash investigator with WA Police before transitioning into the finance sector in 2001.

Over the next decade, Nick built a strong career in credit and collections. He worked for GMAC and later became State Manager, then General Manager, of a national repossession company. His role covered everything from field operations to compliance, training, and dispute resolution.

In response to increased regulatory demands after the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, Nick saw the need for tailored, practical training in the mercantile sector. In 2009, he launched Mercantile Training Services — now Beebox Training — to offer a single, industry-recognised course purpose-built for debt collectors, repossession agents, skip tracers and credit operations staff.

Nick’s approach to learning has always been different: one course, one standard, one certificate — 100% relevant. His training programs are known for their clarity, compliance focus, and real-world value.

Nick is a proud member of the Institute of Mercantile Agents and the Welsh Guards Association.
